What is it like to be a teacher?

Well, I have changed my major once, I've been in college three years, still not sure exactly what I want to do, and keep failing the cl that is a prerequisite to be able to take any other cles towards my major so I feel like I'm wasting my time and am considering giving physical education a shot. My high school coach was also a PE teacher and that is where I got this idea from. He had a wife and kid he supported as well. I'm just wondering what it's like to be a teacher? What is the pay like? Do you get paid over breaks as well? Is it enough pay a year to be able to live comfortably? I'm not talking about buying a yacht or a new Corvette or anything, but enough money to have a nice place to live and not stress about paying bills and still have some money to save and have fun with. I need to make my decision as soon as possible to sign up for cles. Any help is greatly appreciated!
