Why couldn't we have kept 1950's values and morals?

I grew up in the 1950's in California and it was a wonderful time kids acted like kids and we all sat at the dinner table and ate dinner,television was clean no no disgraceful things.In the late 1960's/early 70's I started noticing that society was changing people started experimenting with drugs and having open premarital and in the 70's high school kids were getting pregnant out of wedlock and I was wondering is this the end of the world cause all of that FREE LOVE led to the aids epidemic of the 1980's.I miss being a 1950's teen when boys didn't wanna "Hit that" and it was just innocent .
