How much would a engine and trans swap cost?

I have a 1999 pontiac firebird V6. i want to turn it into a 5speed manual with an ls1 im not looking to turn it into a drag racer or a street rod just something that will go when i want to. currently the car is an automatic. i would like a farly sturdy transmission. niether engine or trans have to be new. just functioning
