Actually the brown ink would be less likely to blow out than black ink because in most cases the artist is using a carbon black ink and the molecular structure is so small that it behaves as if it were a dye. Brown ink is heavier, especially if there is any iron oxide in it, common to browns. Black is generally the color that blows out the quickest when an artist is heavy handed in troublesome areas. I can't even recall one of my artists ever blowing out any ink. Everyone in my studio is very light handed.
