Mom has Systemic MRSA- daughter looking for a straight answer, pls.?

At this point only time will tell how she reacts to the vancomycin they have her on to treat the MRSA. Hopefully she is not too compromised with the Hep C. It is hard to determine without seeing her labs even with that still it depends on how strong she physically is at this point. That is why the docs are so vague. I know you feel you have no control or handle on anything and your trying to grasp for an answer but only time can really tell at this point. Be with your mom as much as possible though. Ask the doctors is there any inprovement in her white blood cell count. This at least can give you an idea on how she is reacting to the antibiotics that they are using to treat her MRSA. As for the hep C you already know her liver is in bad shape there is really not going to be a lot of room for improvement. Try to be patient even so I know that is asking alot of you but at this point time is the biggest factor. You and your family is in my prayers.
