Can this be a problem for my birth control?

So, I have been taking birth control since February. Then last month it was ineffective due to an antibiotic I was on. Now, I got my prescription filled at my parents house and they didn't have my usual kind, so they gave me one that was the most similar to mine. I am on the second day of it and I had last night and my boyfriend let it go inside of me. It should be effective right? He's worried about it.
