A question for students at Kings College (Medical)?
Hi, Chemistry is essential, Biology would be recommended plus another science - the ideal combination is Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Maths. And you will need extra-curricular activities such as voluntary work in a relevant field. All the best to you. All med students study for 5 years on a medical degree and specialise whilst working as a doctor afterwards so it is 5 years plus a pre-registation year as a doctor and several years working your way up and through exams to specialise as a paediatrician or whatever specialism you want to take.
