Are people more likely to be nicer to an attractive person than unattractive person,?

or is it the other way around? I always thought that people were more likely to be nicer to an unattractive person bc they perceive the attractive person as a threat or are jealous or intimidated, but lately Ive noticed this to be false. Unattractive "ugly" people get more disrespect and rudeness than attractive people do.
