A question for Jehovah's Witnesses?
You don't interpret the bible at all. They look at you like that because the holidays you celebrate are pagan holidays. What you are doing is idolatry. It's no "interpret the bible their way". They are doing right. None of the holidays you celebrate can be found in any bible so you are wrong. Why don't you google the origins of Easter, Halloween and Christmas and then you will understand why your family are Witnesses.

In Pool - 2 players on the black and one player starts to deliberately miss - what happens?
In playing pool with a friend, we both eventually ended up on the black ball. She then chose to only 'touch' the cue tip onto the white ball and made no attempt to move the white ball in the direction of the black ball at the other end of the table. This is a deliberate attempt to miss and I say that this is cheating. What is the penalty for this?
Depression, or just teenage angst?
It doesn't strike me as depression from what you have described. It sounds like they are looking for attention. In my personal experience, people with depression tend not to talk about it and cut themselves off from the rest of the world. However, I have known to be wrong, so don't dismiss depression completely based on this. Since I haven't met them I cannot give a more accurate answer. x
